| Veil – Instructions for Use
1. CLEANSE. Using fingertips, thoroughly cleanse face or part of body to be covered with Veil Cleansing Cream.
2. TONING. This step is very important. If there is any remaining oil on the skin it could make Veil slip. A good toning lotion will remove every last trace of oil. Veil lotion is an effective combination of hamamelis distillate and rosewater. Wipe gently over cleansed skin using cotton, and pat dry. Skin is now prepared for Veil application. No moisturiser is to be applied..
3. Remove Veil from jar with a small spatula. APPLY Veil thinly with fingertips or sponge over area to be covered. Smooth and blend the outer edges onto the natural skin. Allow to dry for a minute or so. If coverage is not complete, apply a second layer.
Remember – two thin layers are more effective than one thick application. If you find that the covered area is looking patchy, proceed to cover the whole face. Veil is equally effective as a foundation. It is also excellent for those who lose foundation quickly. If Veil does not go on smoothly, or it streaks, this indicates that there is still oil on the surface of the skin.
4. SETTING. To ensure long-lasting, waterproofing coverage, the final important step is to set the Veil with the loose translucent Veil Finishing Powder. Press in powder liberally using a cotton ball or powder puff with a gentle rocking motion, but do not rub. Remove excess powder with a large brush using a downward stroke. For aless powdery look press the skin lightly with moist cotton or tissue.
How do I remove Veil?
Once again, use good cleanser (Veil Cleansing Cream). Remove with damp cotton wool or sponge. Follow with toner.
HELPFUL HINTS
1. Veil is waterproof so you will be able to swim knowing the coverage will remain. Pat yourself dry rather than rub.
2. Cover occasional blemishes with Veil, then follow with a water-based foundation. The foundation may be applied lightly over the already powdered Veil without disturbing it.
3. If you are applying blushers or eye shadows on top of Veil, always use the powder variety. A cream could disturb the Veil.
4. Lipstick – for a longer lasting effect, apply Veil thinly to the lips, set with finishing powder and then apply lipstick on top. Blot gently and lipstick should last for hours longer.
5. Touch-ups and repairs. There will be times when a touch-up or repair is needed, such as after a long, hot day or strenuous exercise. Usually the first areas to shine are the forehead and the sides of the nose. Assuming the Veil has snot been disturbed, simply apply more loose powder and press in gently to take away the shine. If the Veil has been disturbed, apply new Veil gently and powder.
6. Veil should always be applied to clean, dry, oil-free skin. If you wish to use a moisturiser, we suggest you do so at night. Next morning be sure to cleanse and tone thoroughly before applying Veil.
7. When covering exceptionally dark marks, it may be helpful to apply the white shade first. Set with powder then gently apply the chosen shade.
8. During summer you may require a darker shade to match a suntan.
9. For tattoos, rose will cover blue, green or olive will cover red.
Caution: Never use Veil on open skin lesions or unhealed scar tissue. |
